- Decide on the date and time period for your event (it may be best to have a couple of options) and then check the web site calendar to ensure that the space is available.
- Contact the Hall Keepers (see below) to double check that your date has not just been taken by others.
- Estimate the cost based upon £25 per hour for general use. Use of the kitchen will be extra according to what you intend it to be utilised for (see booking form). Don't forget to allow for setting up before and tidying away afterwards.
- Weekends - For Saturdays and Sundays, a rate of £30 per hour will be charged after 6 pm
- Download the 'Conditions of Hire' and 'Application for Let' documents.
- Print and complete the 'Application for Let' form and send it to the Victoria Hall together with a £25 deposit to secure your booking. We regret that if a cancellation is received by us within 30 days of the date of your event, then the deposit will be non-refundable.
Notes:
- Children's parties; We recomend 3hr hire costing £75 which will give you 2hrs partying plus 1/2 hour before for set-up and 1/2 hour afterwards for tidying away This will include light use of the kitchen. Party times apply to periods which finish in time to allow vacation up to or before 4:30 pm.
- Large events requiring setting out seating and tables and ticketed events are costed differently - please contact us to discuss your requirements
- If you prefer, the tables and chairs can be set out to your requirements and re-stowed afterwards by volunteers for a charge of £25. We can also offer hirers a special 'walk away' arrangement for a fee which will avoid the hirer not having to fully restore the hall on the night or the morning after. This is charged at £75
- Wedding receptions have a special rate of £650 which covers full use of all the facilities from 1 pm the previous day until 12 pm for restoring the Hall to its previous condition Note that this can be undertaken by Hall staff at an aditional charge of £75). We recommend Granite City Events for bespoke decoration of the Hall for your special day. You can utilise your chosen catering firm and if needed, crockery and table cloths are available for hire from the Hall.
- However, we would like to meet with you in good time to discuss your event and will be happy to advise and assist where we can
- The Hall is usually open from 12:45 - 13:30 on Fridays to enable us to meet with future Hall users. Please arrange an alternate time if not convenient.
- The Management Committee reserves the right to refuse hire for whatever reason they regard as appropriate.
